Citavi Beta 5.0.31 [Archive]

What you should know about beta versions
The purpose of a beta version is to find bugs before an update release. A beta version can be used with real projects, but make sure to backup your projects regularly.

There is no such thing as software without errors and that applies to Citavi as well!
We naturally want to find and eliminate as many bugs as possible, and kindly request that you help us in this endeavour by installing Citavi 5 beta versions. Do everything that you've done up until now and try out any new features. Let us know here in this forum about errors or anything that strikes you as strange.

We're grateful for every reported bug and for any other feedback you would like to share with us!

Resolved Bugs:
  • If a website was saved as a PDF file in the Citavi preview, the PDF file was not renamed with the Citavi short title.
  • Adding a new line in the Advanced search caused an error to occur.
  • Citavi would freeze if a task list was created and then closed in Word.
  • When copying or moving references from one project to another, tasks were not moved or copied.
  • Citavi interpreted letters in paragraphs (e.g. 63a) as page ranges. As a result §§63a would appear in the Word document instead of §63a.
  • When exporting the Report reference type to BibLaTeX the editor was exported as an author if the author field was empty.
  • When saving a local copy of a server project the following error message would appear: "Copy process for source project of type 'Desktop SqlServer' not implemented".

  • The Chrome Hunter did not import years from Springerlink.

Known Issues:
  • PDF files in the PDF/A format that are created with ABBYY FineReader can cause Citavi to crash if they are displayed in the Preview. The creator of the PDF component used by Citavi has been informed and is working on a solution.
Temporary workaround: Do not display PDF/A files in the preview or save ABBYY-Finereader files as "searchable PDFs".

This version is no longer available.
