Citavi Beta 5.0.23 [Archive]

What you should know about beta versions
The purpose of a beta version is to find bugs before an update release. A beta version can be used with real projects, but make sure to backup your projects regularly.

There is no such thing as software without errors and that applies to Citavi as well!
We naturally want to find and eliminate as many bugs as possible, and kindly request that you help us in this endeavour by installing Citavi 5 beta versions. Do everything that you've done up until now and try out any new features. Let us know here in this forum about errors or anything that strikes you as strange.

We're grateful für every reported bug and for any other feedback you would like to share with us!

Resolved Bugs:
Citavi
  • When converting a Citavi 4 project to Citavi 5 format, the entries in the Language field were deleted.
  • When copying references with linked PDFs with relative paths, one folder level too high was displayed in the path shown in Citavi.
  • Citavi would crash if a second category was added to a knowledge item in the Knowledge Organizer.
  • Under certain conditions a "Categories" error could occur in the Knowledge Organizer.
  • The citation key definition did not save settings for persons across sessions.
  • When adding quotations for a reference, the spelling checker language had to be switched from German to English each time a new quotation was added.

Word Add-In
  • If a knowledge item was entered in Word with the Word Add-In, words in the knowledge item could no longer be selected by double-clicking.

Citavi for DBServer
  • The DBServer Manager would crash if the UI language was changed from German to English.
Known Issues:
  • PDF files in the PDF/A format that are created with ABBYY FineReader can cause Citavi to crash if they are displayed in the Preview. The creator of the PDF component used by Citavi has been informed and is working on a solution.
Temporary workaround: Do not display PDF/A files in the preview or save ABBYY-Finereader files as "searchable PDFs".
This version is no longer available.
