Manually edit reference list in Microsoft Word

Postby wisc88 » 2017-05-12 13:02

System information: [ Citavi Version 5.4, Windows 8.x, English, -, MS Office 2013/365 64Bit, - ]

I would like to know if there is a way to manually edit the reference list added to a word document without losing the changes after "refreshing" the reference list. Sometimes, Citavi does not do a perfect job when creating the list and there are some cases when you want to add some information that is not usual (e.g., references that are "in press" or "under review" in periodical X). I know that while doing the in-text citation you can add a prefix or suffix, but I haven't found a way to do the same thing for the reference list.

Thank you.

Hi, wisc88,

once your document is complete, you can convert all fields to static text, so that you can finetune the list of references without fear of losing the changes.

Best regards
