Hi,

I would appreciate help:

How to create links between quotations (or other knowledge items)?

I realized it is possible to link References>Context. But these are macro elements, and the point is to link knowledge items as quotations, be it in same document, be it between different documents.

Thanks,
Cadu

Hi Cadu,

Thank you very much for your message.

You can also assign categories, keywords and groups to knowledge items.

Unfortunately, this is the only way to sort knowledge items.
You cannot create links between them.

Kind regards,
Jana

Hi Jana,

Thanks for directions! Assign categories, keywords and groups allow lots of possibilities, but I couldn't achieve through these items a way to even simulate a connection/link between two knowledge items.

I would appreciate further info from you.

a) Even a dedicate "link feature" is missing, by using the current tools do you see any workaround in Citavi to register/simulate links between knowledge items/quotations?

b) Is in Citavi roadmap the implementation of functionality to create links between knowledge items?

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Using groups (e.g. with the name "contradiction") is one possibility for a workaround.
As an alternative, you could add comments to those knowledge items:

This is indeed a function we would love to add to Citavi as it is highly requested.

However, our focus is currently on the development of a web version for Citavi.

Kind regards,
Jana
