Hi there,

Does anyone know of any way to create a list of abbreviations of periodicals and (book series) used within a document?

Hi Dan,

are the abbreviations of the journals and the series names stored in your Citavi project? If so you can click on the filter symbol above the list of references, select By quoted references in current document. For the Series names, you could use the Table view. For the journal abbreviations, you'll need the Macro Editor (in the Tools menu), delete lines 37 through 40 and insert the following code and run the macro:

Code: Select all
if (reference.Periodical != null) DebugMacro.WriteLine(reference.Periodical.StandardAbbreviation);

Afterwards you can copy the output to an Excel table and sort.

Best regards
