Will citavi support databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL?

System information: [ Citavi Version 5.2, -, English, -, -, - ]

I have a linux server and I'd like to setup a database for citavi there. Does or will Citavi support MySQL or PostgreSQL? Eventually is there an option to install oracle/ms db on linux?

Hi, peterone,

Citavi for DBServer currently only supports Microsoft-SQL-based servers. While Microsoft has recently announced a Linux port of its SQL server product, we don't know any details about this yet or if and how Citavi will work in connection with it.

If you're only planning a setup for a small team, you might be able to use your server as a file server by storing the Citavi project file on an NTFS formatted partition of your Linux server's hard drive and connecting to it via SMB/CIFS. However, we don't officially support this solution and can't guarantee that there won't be any problems.

Best regards
