Hunter Bug: CSS needs extra override

System information: [ Citavi Version 3.3, Windows 7, English, Firefox 8.x - 17.x, -, - ]

There is a small bug in the CSS stylesheet for the Citavi hunter that adjusts a web page to show that references were found. If a website contains CSS styling such as "img { display: block }" the hunter CSS does not override, causing the bar added at the bottom of the page to have the Citavi icon, but no text or links beside it (they would display below it and are cut off so they aren't visible).

Here is a fix for the style sheet that also resets some other properties that might be present in the page CSS:

Code: Select all
.hunterDiv, #hunterStatusbar {
   position: fixed !important;
   bottom: 0 !important;
   right: 0 !important;
   left: 0 !important;
   height: 24px !important;
   margin: 0 !important;
   padding: 0 !important;
   border: 1px solid rgb(145, 145, 145) !important;
   background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% rgb(214, 227, 247) !important;
   font: 12px/1 arial,sans-serif !important;
   z-index: 10000 !important;
   min-width: 580px !important;
}

.hunterImage, #hunterIcon {
   display: inline !important;
   margin: 0 !important;
   padding: 0 !important;
   border: 0 !important;
   font: inherit !important;
   background: transparent !important;
   vertical-align: middle !important;
}

.hunterSpan, #hunterTextArea {
   display: inline !important;
   margin: 4px 0 !important;
   padding: 0 !important;
   border: 0 !important;
   font: 12px/1 arial,sans-serif !important;
   color: black !important;
   background: transparent !important;
   vertical-align: middle !important;
}

a.hunterLink:active, a.hunterLink:link, a.hunterLink:visited, a.hunterLink:hover, #hunterMenuLink, #hunterMenuLink2 {
   display: inline !important;
   margin: 0 !important;
   padding: 0 !important;
   border: 0 !important;
   font: 12px/1 arial,sans-serif !important;
   color: rgb(0, 0, 255) !important;
   background: transparent !important;
   vertical-align: middle !important;
}

Hello Mercury,

thank you so much for your help, we really appreciate it. I have sent the information to the developer, he will find it when he gets back from his vacation.

Best regards, and best wishes for a merry christmas (just in case the world does NOT end tonight)
Patrick

Hello Mercury,

we fixed the bug. Could you send us the link to some sample page where this problem occurred, so we can check if everything goes ok now?

Best regards
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Here is a page where the hunter bar shows up blank except for the icon: Direction Journal. If you see the "Citavi found 1 references..." text, then it's fixed!

(Even better would be if it said "Citavi found 1 reference...", especially since a single reference is probably the most common situation.)

Hi Mercury,

it is now fixed in Citavi 4 (all browsers). Thank you so much for your precious help!
We also want to fix the "1 references"-Tag, but that is a little more complicated and will therefore have to wait.

Best regards
Patrick
