Important
  • This Add-On requires Citavi 3.2 or later.
  • This Add-On cannot be used at the same time as other Add-Ons that modify the navigation pane, such as Sort by Parent and Child References.

This Add-On lets you override the appearance of the Reference Editor navigation by using a custom citation style. Where no override is defined, the default appearance will be used.

  1. Click Citation > Citation styles > Edit citation style
  2. Click Create citation style
  3. Click the reference type you want to override (e.g. Journal article)
  4. Drag to the editing area the components you want to appear instead of the default appearance:
First line of reference editor navigation: Bibliography rule set
Second line of reference editor navigation: Footnote rule set
Third line of reference editor navigation: In-text citation rule set
  5. Click Save in the toolbar to save the citation style to the Custom Citation Styles folder of your folder for Citavi user data (by default, My Documents\Citavi 3). Give the file exactly this name: ReferenceNavigationFilter.ccs
  6. Exit Citavi
  7. Install this Add-On: installation instructions
