Teamwork
- Citavi supports work in teams. Team projects saved on a network can be worked on by multiple people at the same time.
- Citavi supports working offline. Projects saved on a server (network) can still be viewed when you are not connected to the network. (Changes to offline projects are not yet possible.)
- The Picker supports Firefox 5 and Internet Explorer 9.
- During an ISBN download, the Pickers for Firefox and Internet Explorer let you know if an ISBN is already in the current project.
- The message that information has been successfully transferred to Citavi can be disabled.
- The Picker now has improved ISBN and DOI recognition.
- Direct import of search results from http://www.arXiv.org.
- During PDF imports, Citavi now recognizes PubMed IDs in file names.
- Searches for subscribed databases now also return CSA databases (as long as you are authenticated).
- The form for editing an author list can now manage an unlimited number of names. The 200-author limit has been lifted.
- The Go to reference with sequence number dialog now accepts multiple sequence numbers.
- In the navigation pane, the name of the court is shown for court decisions.
- Citavi can automatically recognize and repair data inconsistencies.
- Invalid ASCII characters are automatically corrected.
- A warning appears when DropBox is being used.
- Citavi includes the option to export location information to BibTex.
- For BibTeX exports, paths to linked PDF files and title field formatting are now exported as well.
- BibLaTeX is now supported.
- Program startup has been optimized.
- Citavi now has an add-on interface. Technical information is forthcoming.
- In the Knowledge Organizer, a table of contents is now inserted at the beginning of a compilation.
- Citavi remembers your login credentials from session to session for upload services like Bibsonomy.
Adding references
- Importing lists from earlier projects no longer returns an error message.
- In new references with no fields filled in, clicking Add contribution caused an error.
- Duplicates were not recognized during searches for duplicate if both references had no authors.
- "Type ahead" (for example in This reference links to) is functioning again. When you type a letter, Citavi will jump to the corresponding reference.
- Under certain conditions, clicking Add contribution on the Reference tab would cause an error.
- When adding a new reference and attaching a file at the same time, the contents of the title field would disappear.
- On rare occasions, the internal macro editor did not work.
- Under certain conditions, the Picker would not add the online address as a location.
- If the Picker for Internet Explorer or Firefox found multiple references during an ISBN search, only the first reference was imported.
- The Picker for Internet Explorer did not show all results from database searches.
- Occasionally, when saving Web pages as PDF in the Preview, the page was not saved completely.
- The color rendering in converted PDFs did not always match the original.
- In rare cases, scrolling in the PDF preview would cause an error message to appear.
- When importing PDFs, if relative paths containing spaces were used, Citavi ignored the option to move the files to the project folder.
- Occasionally, annotated project bibliographies did not include library location information.
- When quotations were inserted in Word with a footnote reference the footnote was formatted in the wrong font size.
- In the Publication Assistant, keywords were not sorted alphabetically.
- When inserting into a Word document, the keyboard focus occasionally did not move to the inserted text in Word.
- An error in the function Format publication has been fixed.
- Quotation marks in LaTeX were not correctly resolved.
